[K-Pop]Profil SS501

SS501(pelafalan Double-S 501 atau Deo Beul E Seu Oh Gong Il) adalah popular South Korean boyband di bawah management Daesung Entertainment, juga dikenal sebagai DSP Entertainment. Nama band berasal dari kombinasi alphabet dan angka yang mempunyai makna spesial. Yang pertama “S” untuk “Super”. Kedua “S” apa pun yang orang inginkan yang cocok dengan S, Star/Singer dll. Angka 5, 0 dan 1 maksudnya `five members united as one forever.’ Official fans club dikenal dengan nama “Triple S”. 

Debut Stage SS501.

SS501 debut pada 8 Juni 2005 dengan first single “경고” (“Warning”), dan second single “Snow Prince” rilis akhir 2005. Group tidak terlalu aktif di Korea pada 2006, kemudian mereka melakukan fan meeting di Jepang pada April. Hiatus mereka dikarenakan kondisi tenggokan Heo Young Saeng yang harus dioperasi, itu membutuhkan waktu yang lama untuk pemulihan. Pertengahan 2006, mereka mengadakan first concert, “Step Up Concert” di Osaka, Japan. Akhir 2006, mereka kembali ke Korea untuk promosi first full album mereka, yang rilis pada November 10. Single dari album terdiri dari “Unlock” dan “Four Chance”. Selain promo album mereka juga show di various variety dan music shows, mereka juga filmed sebuah show di MNet dengan judul SOS. Di 600th day (28 January 2007), mereka memenangkan Mutizen award dari SBS Inki Gayo untuk lagu “Four Chance”.
